Most Impactful Songs of 2009
And so, the decade comes to an end. Looking back at year 2000, I'd think it was the worst year in my life. However, I wouldn't be where I am if I didn't repeat my academic year in Sec 3. Such an important year, the turning point that changed my life over the past decade.
2009 was a great year for Simplifai Studios. I owe the success to my clients and friends who believed in me. Thank you everyone. Keep those constructive criticisms coming too!
To be honest, the first half of 2009 was hellish; dramas and betrayal by the closest people around me. But hey, I grew with each bad experience.
Let's embrace the new decade; more great things ahead. I wonder which version of Dreamweaver I'll be using to edit my year-end post in 2019. I can only imagine. The future is exciting and that keeps me going.
This will be the fourth year in a row that I'm doing this list. Songs that impacted me during the past year. Click on the link beside them to listen to them on YouTube.
Busy, busy months to say the least.
Football season ended and restarted, F1 turned meaningless, served my first cycle of reservist, awesome birthday celebration, watched Natalie grow.

Recent Assignments 3
It's about time, yeah?
I love Mondays. A new beginning. You just don't know what to expect. And the fact that Singtel is delivering my Nokia N82 later today just makes it a lot sweeter. Any one using one of Singtel's data plans? I need some advice.
Enjoy the photos!

Most Impactful Songs of 2008
So, 2008 came and passed. Met a lot of new people through the year. Clients, friends, awful people. People you'd just admire and those whom you'd wanna shove a durian down his/her throat.
Completed my National Service. Ahh..bitter-sweet memories. Somehow, I can't wait for my re-service.
Registered my own business earlier in the year. Definitely a risk taking this on full-time. The experience, however, has been very full-filling. It always puts a smile on my face whenever I learn that my client is happy with my work. It also provides me with the extra drive to perform better every single time.
Not forgetting the death of a chilhood best friend. Rest in peace, Azli.
This will be the third time I'm doing this list. Songs that impacted me during the past year. Go listen to them!

Hari Raya 2008
Alrighty, Hari Raya came and passed. Nothing to fret about though, it just mean that the festive season is inching by!
Went visiting with the guys. And guess what, all of us wore black unwittingly..haa! But Khai had to spoil it by wearing his 'peach' baju kurung.
Till next year!

Natalie: Lost and Found
My bike, Natalie, got stolen on the 21st of September between 1am - 5am. Went to catch a movie at The Cathay before having supper at Mr Bean's Cafe. Imagine the shock I was in upon seeing the empty lot at Wilkie Road.
There wasn't any trace left behind. Searched the vicinity to no avail. So, I went to Orchard NPC to file a report. I was feeling so down. Having a bike is an ultra convenience and a huge time-saver. For example, going to town (from Tampines) and back would take 2 hours at least. With a bike, it'd only take 40 minutes. How much time can one save in a month? What about a year? You do the maths. And don't get me started about rude commuters.
Oh yes, she was found on the eve of Hari Raya (30th of September). The police came to my place and told me that they found my bike at a carpark in Tampines and asked me to verify it.
I was elated upon seeing her from afar. However, as I approached her, I started noticing a few things that aren't right or damaged. The most glaring change, my license plate number. The thief actually changed it!
How did the police know it's my bike? Well, let me cut the story short. It was found abandoned at TPE 2 days after it was reported stolen. EMAS towed it to the nearest carpark which happened to be in Tampines (phew!). So, the letter from LTA was sent to the owner of this license number. This person received the letter and called LTA saying that it wasn't possible that his bike was found abandoned as he was using his bike at that time. So the LTA contacted the Police and they went to check the chassis number of the bike. It was registered under my license number.
They have already done their 'CSI' when I arrive. I was not able to ride Natalie home as the engine would not start. Towed it to a workshop and the damages burnt a $600 hole in my pocket.
But hey, I'm just thankful to have her back. I've also installed some additional security features.

Launch of Version 4
Gosh...I just realised that my last post was 3 months back. Been really occupied with a lot of stuff (and I thought I'm gonna have more free time after NS). Urgh...
So, I decided to revamp this website. After much planning, drafting and programming, I'm glad it's finally up. Been spending lotsa late nights on this. Farhan knows best. Haha! I've been using the previous design since 2005. God knows how long I'll wait before even thinking about version 5. As you can see, I've decided to stick to a clean, simple design. Because I am simply Fai (simplifai). Ok, whatever, my sleepiness is getting over me. It's seven in the morning!
I hope you guys like this make over.
Kindly inform me if you guys spotted any bug.
Miss the old design? You can still feast your eyes here.
Take care people.

Operationally Ready
There goes my two years of NS. Passed by just like that. I remember being so much against NS two years back. Well...it wasn't too bad as I was very lucky to be posted to the Police Coast Guard. I can't imagine scurrying in the forests around Singapore looking for some so-called terrorist with a small mole under his right eye. Ok, my NS life wasn't that bad. But I still wish that I can have that two years of my life back.
Made some great friendships in PCG. I really miss them. Even the fishermen! Lim Ah Bah, Ana Basir, Fazlili etc. Continue selling us some fat fish man! I'm gonna miss catching beautiful sunsets and sunrises every other day. I'm gonna miss the hot pursuits. I'm gonna miss attending to injured cyclists at Pulau Ubin. And a lot of other things I'm not allowed to say here.
The guys gave me a farewell to remember. I was given an option of jumping into the sea voluntarily or get thrown by them! I chose the former of course..haa!
And as if that wasn't enough, they had to hide my bike! But being the smart ass that I am, it didnt took me long to find it..wahaha...
Do take a look at some of the most memorable pictures I took while in PCG. (:

Bangkok Trip
Woohoo...the long awaited holiday. Was a nice way to put an end to my NS life (no, don't talk to me about reservist). I'm typing this in a hurry as it's the penultimate day of work and the guys are pestering me for the photos!
As much as I love Singapore, I'd love to stay there longer. 'Chillax' life. Massage everyday. Friendly pretty babes. Haa! Oh well, it's over now. NS is gonna be over in a couple of days. Time to work my ass off and be a millionaire (ya, right).
Selected photos here.

Kittin' was High
Guess what? I managed to catch her this time round! Anyone remember Miss Kittin? She was here two years back. And I missed that event! I talked about it being my most regretted action in 2006 here. Hahaha.
Had great fun with the guys. I can't remember who actually uses his/her own vocals in their tracks. And ma'am, can you look a little less serious?
Haa.
Mummy, can I go out to kill tonight? I feel like taking a life...
