It was a pleasure covering the launch of 10 Square @ Orchard Central.
Originally a car park, the space housing the new 10 Square @ Orchard Central arts training centre was developed by The RICE Company. The space combines traditional arts spaces with leading age arts technology that will define tomorrow’s creative arts industries.
10 Square space and programmes are designed for young people to initiate new creative energy and inspire new cutting edge artworks. It brings together young people from diverse background and connects them with leading local and international arts trainers, artists, artrepreneurs and businesses. These tools aim to prepare them as they embark on a career in the arts industry and it also presents them with limitless possibilities to fulfill their aspirations.
10sq offers a two-year Arts Incubation Programme for youth aged 13 to 19 years old. It is also home to youth budding artists pursuing an arts training programme in Dance, Theatre, Visual Arts and Music.
